Queen’s Park Community Council. Salary scale LC2 (26-34) [£22,443 - £28,922] pro rata plus London Weighting. Hours: 22.5 per week to include evening meetings, however, as the work of the Council increases it is likely the role will grow and the hours and salary may increase accordingly. Queen’s Park Community Council is seeking a dynamic, forward-looking individual to lead the capital’s first ever community council; the role includes that of Responsible Finance Officer (RFO). Since being created on 1st April and following the election in May 2014, Members have been meeting regularly with assistance from a temporary clerk.  The Council is now ready to appoint a permanent person to this post with the title of Director. Queen’s Park is a lively and diverse, mostly residential neighbourhood of 12,000 people and a strong tradition of local activism and volunteering.  This new role presents a unique challenge and opportunity. Ideally applicants should hold the Certificate of Higher Education in Local Policy (or its predecessor and successor qualifications).  They should also be interested in community development in an urban setting.
